For years, Bachy Soletanche has been recognised for its achievements through industry awards

Most recently, we were named finalists in the Ground Engineering Awards 2009 category, UK Project with a Geotechnical Value over £1M. The Highly Commended project was the East London Line Regeneration which completed in early 2009. With 20 locations, 28 structures and over two years on site, it was one of our most varied and challenging projects to date and we were proud to receive recognition for such a project.

The year before, one of Bachy Soletanche’s graduate engineers, Hazel Weston was the proud winner of the Young Geotechnical/Geoenvironmental Engineer of the Year at the Ground Engineering Awards 2008. Hazel was recognised for her hard work and dedication on a variety of high profile projects for Bachy Soletanche and its sister company, Westpile. Bachy Soletanche’s Phil Hines presented the award to Hazel in 2008 (pictured).

We also play a major role in the Ground Engineering Awards, having sponsored the Young Geotechnical/Geoenvironmental Engineer Award category two years running. Mentoring rising stars in the geotechnical engineering industry is something we pride ourselves on. Sponsoring such an award is testament to our passion.

Back in 2005, Bachy Soletanche was the proud winner of the Construction News - Specialists in Construction Award for Ground Engineering. In selecting Bachy Soletanche the panel of industry judges commented that the company was “Admired by it’s clients and respected by its competitors, that the Company demonstrated an impressive track record of continuous improvement, and was a major player that could tackle any size of job”.
