Bachy Soletanche has provided ground engineering solutions to many of the country's major infrastructure projects.
Our experience of deep foundation projects in London has been unrivalled in recent years. Most recently, we have contributed to the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (CTRL) at St Pancras Station to upgrade it to a Eurostar Terminus. The main contract works were undertaken in a Joint Venture with Costain, Laing O’Rourke, EMCOR and ourselves. We also constructed the CTRL 240 Tunnels Project in joint venture with Costain Skanska.
Other significant projects have included providing the foundations to Heathrow’s Terminal 5, the East London Line project, as well as being heavily involved in the Jubilee Line extension project. Works at main contractor level consisted of Canary Wharf, North Greenwich, Bermondsey and Southwark Stations, M74 Glasgow and Tyne Tunnel.
