Specialist geotechnical contractors, Bachy Soletanche, has completed phase 2 of its CFA piling work at Epsom Station in Surrey as part of a £400,000 redevelopment project for main contractor Kier London and its client Solum Regeneration. Piling adjacent to live railway lines, 8 crane base piles and working test piles are being used alongside 378 piles which load up to 1300kN, have a depth of 20-25m and a 450mm diameter.

The work is part of the redevelopment of the new station entrance to include residential apartments and commercial space. The commencement of the third phase is imminent.
