New Bridge over Avon

Leading geotechnical specialist Bachy Soletanche has completed piling work to support a new bridge over the river Avon, which will form a key component of the new A429 Barford Bypass. The £210,000 contract involved the construction of one hundred and four piles to support two abutments and three piers that will carry the weight of the new bridge from the banks of the river.

Aldgate Union

When facing the second phase of large-diameter auger (LDA) piling at 1, Aldgate Union, leading geotechnical specialist Bachy Soletanche faced a unique question; How can a one hundred tonne piling rig be mobilised onto a site that has an underground shopping centre directly underneath? Without extra support, the ceiling of the disused Aldgate Union Shopping Centre risked collapse when the weighty Bachy Soletanche rig sat directly above, constructing LDA piles up to thirty-five metres deep.

Site Supervisor requested by name in Liverpool

Bachy Soletanche, the leading geotechnical specialist, has completed piling work at Duke Street in Liverpool, following a direct request from the developer for a specific Site Supervisor to work on the project. Rob Harrison, who has worked for Bachy Soletanche for over sixteen years, was requested by name to work on the Duke Street piling work following his previous performance on projects for the Pierse Group.
