This appointment strengthens Bachy Soletanche’s position as a leading provider of complex, high-profile ground engineering solutions across the marine and defence sectors, with notable projects including Rosyth Dockyard, Great Yarmouth Port, and ExCeL London.
Peel Ports Construction Framework
Bachy Soletanche has been named as one of 18 contractors selected to deliver Peel Ports’ £750 million construction programme. This ambitious eight-year framework is designed to support a comprehensive upgrade of port facilities across the UK and Ireland, with key locations including the Port of Liverpool, Heysham Port, Manchester Ship Canal, London Medway, Clydeport, Great Yarmouth and Dublin.
The framework is structured into multiple lots covering general construction, marine works and major projects. A £300 million allocation has also been designated for major works at sites in England and Dublin. Through a competitive procurement process, Peel Ports has selected trusted partners with a proven track record to support the long-term development of its logistics network.

KBS Maritime Framework at Portsmouth Naval Base
Additionally, Bachy Soletanche has secured a place on KBS Maritime’s newly established framework to deliver major improvements at the Royal Navy’s Portsmouth Naval Base. KBS Maritime is a joint venture between KBR and BAE Systems, uniting KBR’s global expertise in asset management and engineering with BAE Systems’ extensive experience within Portsmouth Naval Base.
The framework, worth up to £300 million, aims to support critical Ministry of Defence infrastructure. Bachy Soletanche’s appointment to the framework will focus on delivering waterfront construction activities. This appointment recognises the company’s specialist expertise and long-standing experience in delivering complex marine and port-related projects.
