Bachy Soletanche Strengthens Technical Excellence and Regional Delivery.
Bachy Soletanche has announced two appointments aimed at strengthening technical excellence and supporting continued growth across the UK.
From mid-June 2026, Martin Stanley will take up the newly created role of Technical Director, while Balint Madar joins the business as Divisional Director – South, succeeding Martin in leading the division.
Strengthening Technical Leadership
Martin Stanley’s appointment as Technical Director reflects Bachy Soletanche’s continued investment in strengthening its technical capabilities across the entire project lifecycle, from early-stage tendering through to operational delivery.
In this new role, Martin will oversee the company’s technical, design, operational systems, quality, and digital functions, ensuring consistency, innovation, and high standards across all divisions. His remit spans Business Development, Preconstruction, Operations and Plant Yard activities, alongside representing the business within the wider industry.
Commenting on the new role, Martin said:
“I am really excited to be taking up the role as Technical Director for Bachy Soletanche’s UK business, continuing my personal growth and building on over 20 years’ experience with the organisation. Leading the Southern Division has been extremely enjoyable, and I look forward to bringing my problem-solving approach to customers across the UK immediately and further developing industry connections across consultants, contractors, clients, academic institutions and trade bodies as part of the role in due course. In Balint I have found a natural replacement, and our existing clients can expect a seamless transition in the coming weeks and months.”
Martin has been with Bachy Soletanche for 20 years, having joined as a graduate and has built extensive experience across design, estimating, and operations on a wide range of geotechnical projects. His deep technical knowledge and understanding of the business position him well to drive continuous improvement and support clients with robust, efficient and innovative solutions.
Continuity and Growth in the Southern Division
Taking on the role of Divisional Director – South, Balint Madar will lead a well-established team delivering geotechnical projects across the South of England and South Wales. Balint will be responsible for setting the strategic direction, strengthening client relationships and maintaining high standards of operational delivery.
A Chartered Civil Engineer with over 14 years’ experience, Balint joins from Cementation Skanska, where he was Business Stream Director, bringing extensive project management and operational leadership experience. He has led both preconstruction and delivery teams on high-profile schemes such as Battersea Power Station, 2 Finsbury Avenue and 1 Liverpool St. While he has significant experience in London’s commercial sector, he has also delivered projects in the residential and infrastructure sector in the UK, and internationally with Soletanche Bachy Hungary.
On taking up his new position at Bachy Soletanche, Balint said:
“I am delighted to be joining Bachy Soletanche at an exciting time for the business. I look forward to building on the Southern Division’s strong reputation, strengthening relationships with our clients and partners, driving operational excellence, and supporting continued growth in London and across the region.”
